GRILLED  POTATO-PANEER SANDWICH
WITH
PEANUT  DIP




Heyaa! Friends. Today I am sharing POTATO-PANEER SANDWICH WITH PEANUT DIP. 
I call it PP sandwich. It is very delicious and especially with peanut dip. YUMMM!!  Its kid's  favourite  dish.
You can make it in a breakfast as well as in evening snacks. I just love it with a cup of coffee :)

Makes- 4 servings

INGREDIENTS:-

For sandwiches:

Sandwich Breads- 8 Slices

Boiled Potatoes- 5 (in number)

Grated Paneer - 1 cup (180 gm)

Oil - 1 tbsp

Butter- 1 tbsp

Mustard seeds(Black)- 1 tsp
  
Sliced onion - 1 large 

Chopped Green Chilies-4

Diced Carrot- 1/4 cup(half carrot)

Red Chili powder- 3 tsp

Turmeric powder- 2 tsp

Chaat Masala- 4 tsp

Green chutney- 2 tbsp

Salt- to taste

roasted crushed cashew nuts- 5

Chili sauce- 2 tsp

Coriander leaves-1 tbsp



For Dip :-

Roasted Pea Nuts(peeled)- 1 cup

Garlic- 8 cloves 

Ginger- 3 tsp.

Oil- 1 tbsp.

Cumin seeds- 2 tsp.

Red Chilli powder- 2 tsp.

Garam masala - 1 tsp.

Milk - 1/2 cup

Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp

Chaat masala- 1 tsp

Salt- to taste

METHOD :-


For Sandwiches :-


Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, when it splutter add sliced onions and chopped green chillies. Cook onions till golden brown in color. Add salt and small diced carrot. Cook well. 


Then add roasted cashew nuts and stir it well. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala. Stir continuously. Add red chilli sauce and grated paneer. Cook for some time.
Add boiled mashed potatoes and salt to taste. Put chaat masala and chopped coriander leaves. 
And cook properly.


Take one bread slice. Apply green chutney and spread it properly. Take another bread slice apply PP masala (potato-paneer masala) and spread it equally. Then close it with another slice of bread which is having green chutney on it. And repeat the same for the next pair of bread slices. Apply butter on both sides of the sandwich and place in a sandwich maker and cook for 5 mins until it turns in golden brown in colour.


Your delicious PP sandwich is ready :D


For Dip:-

Take mixer grinder. Put roasted peanuts, chopped coriander, oil, salt, red chilli powder, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, garam masala, chaat masala and milk.
Grind it properly until it gets in smooth consistency.

Decorate dip with coriander leaves  and serve hot the grilled PP sandwiches. :)

  3. Hi Shireen, this recipe does look quite delicious and easy to make. But I think for the uninitiated folks like me it would be very helpful if you could explain the preparation of green chutney also. And keep posting such delicious dishes, just reading the recipes brings water to my mouth.
